TONI RODDEY-2026 PROGRAMS/SAE TOPICS

Toni discussed the 2026 upcoming programs,encouraging us to reach out to ancillaries to fulfill meeting programs not yet filled. She was kind enough to share her email for ideas or questions. tsroddey@gmail.com. Open months are May, June and September. August was suggested to be a break month with no meeting and it was passed by vote to be a break. Filled months remain as follows:

  • Nov-Elton Scifres

  • Dec - Christmas Party

GALLERY SHOW VOTE:

Sending out ballot per email for major changes made. These proposed changes have already been approved by Cole Center. Ballot should be ready by end of week.

NEW GALLERY SHOW GUIDELINES

· Members will submit reduced size prints to Cole Center instead of digital files

·Current submission rules will be retained

·Cole Center Staff acting as curators

·Members will mat,frame and submit accepted photos

·Frames will be black with white mats. Maximumn size will be 24x24

·Show will be judged

PROGRAM: RON THILL

iNaturalist website: Ron presented a very interesting program explaining the iNaturalist website.He explained the website as a scientific endeavor to provide scientists with data on worldwide biodiversion so they can suggest conservation practices that will help prevent loss of species. He has submitted over a thousand photos, mostly of insects, to this website, just in the past year, to help in their cause.

As 1st place winner, Jay got to choose February's Challenge-"Music"

Rebecca Fleck gave a helpful inservice on how to name your photos before submitting them to her.
